If you’re on track to graduate, the LACCD Bridge to College program offers you a “Fast Start” on your future!
Enroll in the “Fast Start” Bridge to College program and you’ll have the chance to sharpen your essential academic skills while you explore the “ins and outs” of college life—all during an intensive 5-week summer semester on a L.A. Community College campus! “Fast Start” provides you with a powerful package of support services plus the academic programs you’ll need to speed you toward transfer to the university of your choice—or to a career in fields like nursing, film & television, fashion design, culinary arts, business administration, architecture, computer science, studio music, and more.
In “Fast Start” you’ll take classes that prepare you for college success and work with counselors to set clear academic and career goals. Once you’re done, you’ll have up to six units toward graduation and be eligible to participate in special follow-up programs in the fall that surround you with personalized support services, including

- Early Enrollment

- Clubs & Field Trips

West offers three bridges to college transfer:
- “Smart Start” is designed to help students succeed in a college program. Students take Math and English classes together with Personal Development 5 (PD5) that emphasizes developing good time management and study skills.
- The ACT Bridge is designed to help students meet the pre-requisites for transferable courses in Math and English.
- ACT is a new, high quality rigorous transfer program that allows highly motivated students to transfer and/or obtain an Associate degree in two years or less..
